Winner of the Best American Independent Film Award at the 34th Cleveland International Film Festival as well as other Audience and Jury awards, HARVEST tells the story of three generations of a family coming together to spend one last summer with its grand old patriarch, a WWII veteran. Poignant but ultimately uplifting, graced with moments of humor, HARVEST is a realistic portrait of a family learning what to let go of but — even more importantly — what to hang on to. Written & directed by Marc Meyers, HARVEST stars Academy Award nominees Robert Loggia & Barbara Barrie, Jack Carpenter, Arye Gross and Tony Winner Victoria Clark. About Marc Meyers
Raised in the Peekskill area, filmmaker and playwright Marc Meyers was a graduate of Hendrick Hudson High School. His award-winning film HARVEST, currently playing international festivals, is his second narrative feature. Marc also wrote & directed APPROACHING UNION SQUARE (Sundance Channel). He was part of the filmmaking team behind the 9/11-themed documentary WITNESSING which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was broadcast on MSNBC. He is an alumnus of several theater collectives in New York including the Ensemble Studio Theatre and The Cherry Lane Theatre. His plays have been staged at a variety of theaters in NYC. Marc is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College. He lives with his wife, producer Jody Girgenti, in New York City.
